More Information

The Rapier uses Seka's True-One-Piece molding technology and was designed to match the Spear frameset. The hoods are 5mm narrower, the drops are flared, and the grip is ergonomic and tailor-built for racing. Compared with the Exceed Gen 2 monocoque handlebar, stiffness increases by 5.2% and weight drops by 20g.

The profile was refined with CFD and wind-tunnel testing to be as thin as possible: the stem is 33mm thick (35% less than common handlebar stems) and the vertical thickness is just 15mm, with rounded edges to reduce drag. A wider gripping area on the tops reduces palm pressure on long rides.

It is made from Mitsubishi 30T and 40T and Toray M40X carbon fibre. A Rapier-exclusive computer mount, plus camera and light mounts, are available as matching accessories from Seka.

Compatibility

Designed for the Seka Spear frameset (RDC and Standard), which is supplied with the Rapier handlebar.
