More Information

The L508 combines a bright tail light with a rear-facing radar. When a vehicle approaches, your head unit shows it on screen and sounds an alert, and the light itself flashes 5 times to warn the driver to keep a safe distance. If vehicles approach one after another, the warning light stays flashing. The warning flash can be turned off for successive vehicles, but it always flashes for the first one for safety.

The radar beam covers 40° horizontally (−10° to +10° vertically), so it can still pick up traffic on bends and helps remove the rear blind spot.

Seven light modes are available: solid, flashing, pulse, peloton, quick flash, rotation and radar-only. Using the Magene Utility app you can set the brightness of each mode, change the flash and pulse interval, and switch off modes you do not want. The built-in acceleration sensor ignores shaking and small bumps so the brake light does not trigger by mistake.

Compatibility

Works with bike computers and watches that support the ANT+ Radar profile, for example: Magene C406 Pro; Garmin Edge 130 / 520 / 530 / 820 / 830 / 1000 / 1030 series; Wahoo Bolt and Roam; Bryton R750 and S500. Compatible Garmin watches include 245, 645, 735, 745, 935, 945, D2 and the Fenix 5 / 6 series.
