More Information

The EXAR Pro is Magene's all-round carbon road wheelset, designed as one integrated product rather than a pile of separate parts. HI-MOD carbon rims keep weight low while staying stiff, and automatic carbon winding pre-stresses the fibre for straightness and consistency.

Choose 45mm for climbing and all-round riding, or 58mm for flatter, faster roads. The 45mm rim-brake rear is asymmetric to balance spoke tension, the 58mm rim-brake rear is symmetric to resist deflection in uneven airflow, and the disc rims are symmetric with an optimised flange width so spoke tension is nearly equal on both sides. Hubs are FEA-designed, with an enlarged rear drive-side flange and spokes aligned to the direction of torque.

The 36-tooth flat ratchet gives tight engagement and can be swapped for a different tooth count; a 54T ratchet upgrade for the 2025 Pro wheels is available separately. Rim-brake rims have a grooved dewatering line and a resin brake track, and special carbon brake blocks are included. The bare carbon rim has passed a 40 J UCI impact test.

Freehub

The Pro comes with a Shimano 11-speed freehub as standard. For SRAM XDR (12-speed), order the Magene EXAR Freehub Body separately. WhatsApp us if you need a Campagnolo N3W freehub or a 100/135mm quick-release disc version.
